Shelby joined Borgeson & Burns, P.C. in September 2007, as a law clerk after moving cross country from Miami, Florida. Shelby graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and attended law school at the University of Miami. She is currently licensed to practice law in both Florida and Alaska.
Her work in Miami focused primarily on insurance defense, intellectual property issues such as patent and trademark applications and prosecution, and medical appeals for individuals whose insurance did not cover necessary cancer treatments.
Shelby became an associate attorney with the firm in May 2008 after being sworn into the Alaska bar. Her practice focuses mainly on family law issues, construction law, and property disputes.
