In 2010, Borgeson & Burns celebrated 11 years of practicing law in Interior Alaska. In December 2010 John J. Burns was appointed Attorney General for the State of Alaska by Governor Sean Parnell. As a result, Borgeson & Burns PC will now be known as Borgeson & Kramer PC.
The firm will continue Borgeson & Burns’ legacy as a leading edge law firm providing outstanding legal service to its clients. The new name is an important step as we prepare for our second decade of meeting clients’ needs. The firm’s tradition of developing and nurturing ties within the community will allow for a successful transition.
Change is not new to this firm, as in 1999, then-managing partners Cory R. Borgeson and John J. Burns acquired the Fairbanks office from Anchorage based Birch Horton Bittner & Cherot. Over the past decade, the firm has established a premier clientele which includes some of the most prominent and influential businesses in the region.
The attorneys of Borgeson & Kramer provide a full range of legal services; including business law & litigation, public utility practice, property law, insurance defense, estate planning, and family law.
Ultimately, we are confident that we provide legal services of the highest value to our clients.
At Borgeson & Kramer we recognize the importance of community involvement. As such, we are active participants in multiple charitable organizations throughout the community. We believe that a society is only as strong as its contributing members and therefore strive to positively contribute to the community in which we live, work, and raise our families.
